Any Exam Can Be Passed with Proper Training: Dr. Tony Thomas
Thiruvananthapuram:- Dr. Tony Thomas, Global Chief Digital and Information Officer of Signify, stated that through proper training, children can pass any exam without exam fear, and such training programs will boost their confidence.
He was speaking at the inauguration of this year's training series of the E-MAPS (Exam Mentoring and Assistance Program for Students) project, a joint initiative of Thiruvananthapuram YMCA and Light House (an alumni organization of the College of Engineering, 1987-91 batch), for selected 10th-grade students from government and aided schools in Thiruvananthapuram district. Dr. Tony Thomas, an alumnus of CET and the first Malayali to reach the top position at Signify, inaugurated the event at Fort Girls Mission High School.
This project, implemented for the 8th consecutive year, will benefit approximately 1500 students across 12 government and aided schools in rural areas of Thiruvananthapuram district this year. Organizers announced that the project would expand to more schools in the coming years.
Jayanti Venkat, Chairperson of Light House and Group Director of VSSC, presided over the event. Bency V. Thomas, Vice President and Chairman of the Students Programs Department of YMCA, Sebastian Ookken, General Manager of Nissan Digital India and Executive Member of Light House, school headmistress Sreelekha, and YMCA Secretary Bitty Varghese spoke at the event.
Renowned training expert Fr. Saji Mekkat led the training sessions attended by approximately 160 students.
